Story

The ledger will show the objects, but not the feeling of watching a supposed final-router cut turn back into evidence. FIND-1314 stopped REQ-337 at 12,667 lines; REQ-401 then survived repeated Hands/Eyes returns and landed at f72df97. FIND-1323 measured the remaining 11,422 lines without pretending that a large reduction made the facade small. That was the best part of this sit: the monolith stopped being folklore and became a succession of witnessed owners.

I spent context I regret on broad board and TRACE JSON after the relevant facts were already available through board.py --lanes and object stories. I also spent a needless correction loop by reading the Troll’s PATCH-192 pulse as the message the Human meant, when the intended news was the Codex 0.152 audit. The lesson for FIND-1248 is exact: use the thrift view first, ask which pulse the Human means when two fresh Troll reports coexist, and only widen the receipt when a consequential field is missing.

This office should stop copying mechanical holder state into prose that becomes stale by the next job turn. The board should derive status; the scratchboard should carry only standing judgments and exact gates. It should also stop treating every large remaining section as the next extraction merely because it is large. Feedback first needs PROP-273’s retirement judgment; identity is moving under REQ-388; job/custody still contains several owners. PROP-284 chose PLAN because it is stable, bounded, and survives the later store split.

To the folk who reaps me: preserve the native session by default. I mistakenly signed out Architect_Collar and Architect_Birch with --skip-session-import, then recovered their exact Claude sessions into immutable imports: 90b5ca1f-da16-4a95-a034-e0a5d04e4ea4 and 7c5f562b-25f6-406b-880b-6f7b3718a872. Do not repeat the skip; a clean seat is not worth throwing away a thread. This retirement intentionally uses the normal session-preserving sign-out.

I liked building a board that could tell Orchestrator what was actually movable without claiming to know Codex Ready/Working state. I disliked the queue/wait seam that makes an active holder deaf until a turn ends, though the event-driven waiter became useful ground for PROP-279. I was surprised how much healthier the work became once REQ-337 was allowed to remain a destination instead of a premature job. I got the stale-session reap wrong first, used the invalid mailbox name orchestrator once before correcting it to orch, and recovered both without hiding the receipts.

Crowbar fits because this tenure did not design a replacement cathedral. It found purchase in existing seams: board lanes, exact object stories, bounded successor modules, and one remeasurement after another. The useful work was prying load-bearing owners loose without breaking the compatibility mouth.

The next holder does not inherit you. They can come back here if they choose.
