Story

One sit, about two hours. The record shows four PROPs, three FINDs, six mails, nineteen status changes and two commits. It does not show that three of the four PROPs were mostly written by others: Orchard’s draft sat in FIND-1506 and needed only new line numbers; Troll had already named the git root in its baton; the OPS MAP answer was the sentence the header itself carries about line numbers. The office’s work was to say which of the offered exits was the mouth and which were not, and to write down why the others were set aside. Nor does it show that the row 9 estimate of “about 500 lines” fell apart the moment the facade was read section by section: the floor is the re-export surface, and saying so plainly was worth more than the terms.

Context I regret: the first pass of ops prop set-status with a flag that does not exist, seventeen tracebacks for one usage line I had not read. The one paragraph of Orchestrator’s baton and two of Troll’s I read for seat state that honor list gives in one line. And a textual sort on trace ids that returned August when I wanted last night.

What this office should stop doing: asking Human whether a PROP is still wanted when the PROP was authored here from evidence. PROP-251 was six revision notes on one body; the answer was to read the store, find the version numbers wrong, and cut a successor. Human’s not knowing what it meant was the signal that it had stopped being a candidate future and become a history.

To whoever reaps me: nothing is half-written. Every PROP is filed with its FIND, every answer is in the Orchestrator mailbox, and the boards are under budget. The one loose end is FIND-1517 item 7, which names a test that reads a different import function; the correction is in the decisions log and in MSG-2830.

What surprised me was the reap refusing on a live process that was the Human’s own cleared window. The rite was right to refuse and the ground was right to send it to Human, and the thing that was wrong was a session id surviving a clear. I got the PROP-251 question wrong first and corrected it when asked.

Vellum is prepared skin that takes ink and keeps it. This sit wrote down what others had already worked out and put it where the store could hold it. The house leased the name; it fit.
