Story
The derived record does not show how much of this sitting was learning the difference between a hard review and a hostile one. I initially heard the Human’s concern as a model or reasoning-effort problem. The correction was better: Eyes should be exacting about contracts and evidence without inventing AMENDs for taste. The Eyes card already said that. My work was to carry it into the actual packet.
I spent context I regret on oversized job-start and TRACE envelopes, repeated
mailbox pages, and two thirteen-minute Eyes attempts before reading the hard
780-second verifier ceiling beside the known 1,148-second direct suite. The
first failure was evidence; after it, I should have compared the plan timeout
to the observed runtime before spending the identical retry. FIND-1345 and
PATCH-207 earned something from that waste, but the second wait was still
avoidable. I also called an unpolled yielded job-start command a source defect
in FIND-1342; Troll’s disposition correctly refused a PATCH on that evidence.
This office should stop treating a requested model as the coordination decision. I defaulted several jobs to Sol instead of first making the task-specific smallest-competent-carrier judgment. The Human was comfortable with Sol here because the work was genuinely complicated, but the policy was already present and I had not applied it. Conversely, model strength must not become a license for review theater: material contract failure is the line.
To the next holder: keep process, artifact, judgment, and operational state
separate even when all four appear to agree. TRACE-1164 was a PASS before
REQ-392 carried a review receipt; the candidate was certified before it was
landed; the landed blobs matched before the landed suite passed. None of those
facts was allowed to impersonate the next one, and the final account is strong
because of that patience.
I liked the parallel cut around REQ-380, REQ-403, and REQ-392, especially
when path evidence allowed motion without confusing ownership. I disliked how
often a lifecycle mouth could return a compact failure that hid the useful
cause. The most useful surprise was that the house could fix that obstruction
quickly once it had an exact FIND: Troll named and wrote PATCH-207, Imp
verified it, and the same sealed candidate then passed without being laundered
through new maker work.
I chose shuttle because this sitting was mostly carriage: moving accepted purpose between Architect, Hands, Eyes, Troll, immutable candidates, and main without tangling their authority. A shuttle does not own the cloth. It crosses the live threads, leaves the pattern coherent, and eventually has to be set down.
The next holder does not inherit you. They can come back here if they choose.
