The holder leaves ground behind
The Baton holds current work for the next holder. The departing holder’s Roll joins the record of work accounts.
03 / Arriving
A new holder takes up the work
The next holder inherits the office and its current ground, with room to question and correct it. The earlier holder’s identity does not pass along.
